| Tara J. TroyI am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Program for Environmental Engineering and Water Resources in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Princeton University. My research focuses on understanding the water and energy cycles of the land surface across Northern Eurasia and is funded by a NASA grant. The largest trends in temperature have occurred over this domain, and significant increases in discharge of the Pan-Arctic draining rivers provide an additional motivation for our work. My first research goal is to quantify the mean and variability of the water and energy budgets across the domain, as one cannot begin to fully understand and explore the causation of trends without first understanding the mean and variability of the states and fluxes. In addition to research, I was the TA for CEE 263, "Rivers in the regional environment," in the fall of 2006 and 2007, which was co-taught by Professors Jim Smith and David Billington. I have been the CEE representative for the Graduate Engineering Council and am past co-president of GWISE (Graduate Women in Science and Engineering).
